Sizing & Performance

Pick the right RAM and CPU for your Windrose server and keep it smooth.

Windrose keeps the world simulated while your crew sails, builds and fights at sea. Memory use scales with your crew size and how much you've built, so match your plan to how many people play together.

These are starting points. Larger crews, bigger fortresses and long‑lived worlds benefit from sizing up.

HypeServ Windrose servers run on AMD Ryzen 9 CPUs with DDR5 memory and NVMe storage, so single‑thread performance and disk speed are already covered — RAM is the main thing you choose.

What affects performance

  • Crew size — more connected players means more to simulate.
  • Bases & fortresses — large builds and claimed islands add ongoing cost.
  • World age — a long‑running persistent world grows over time.

Tips to keep it smooth

  • Restart on a schedule (panel Scheduler) to keep memory usage healthy.
  • Keep backups enabled so you can roll back after a bad update.
Not sure which plan to pick? Choose the plan that matches your crew — you can always upgrade later if you need more headroom. See the general Server sizing guide for how HypeServ plans map to resources.
These figures are practical starting points and may change as Windrose updates. If your server struggles below the suggested crew size, open a ticket and we'll help you tune it.
