First Start
This guide walks you through the entire first launch of your Palworld server on HypeServ: from ordering the server to joining in‑game for the first time.
If you already own a HypeServ server, this page shows you how to get it ready to join.
Order your Palworld server
If you haven't ordered your server yet, start here:
👉 Order a serverChoose Palworld as the game, then pick a plan based on your expected player count. Palworld is memory‑heavy, so check the Sizing guide before you decide. You can upgrade later without losing your world.
Open the HypeServ panel
After ordering, you'll be redirected to your server dashboard. Inside the panel you'll see:
- Your Palworld server
- Server status (offline / starting / running)
- Buttons to Start, Stop or Restart
- Tabs for Console, Files, Backups, Ports, and more
This is where you control your entire server.
Start the server
Click Start. The first start may take longer than usual because the server is downloading the latest Palworld server files and generating the world.
Open the Console tab to watch startup in real time. When the console shows the server is up and listening and no more errors appear, it's ready.
Find your server address
To join, you need your server address. In the HypeServ panel you'll see your server's IP and Port directly above the console. If you've set your free subdomain, you'll see that instead of the IP.
8211 for gameplay by default (plus query port 27015). HypeServ assigns and forwards these automatically — you'll see the exact game port in the panel.Join the server in Palworld
Palworld supports crossplay, so Steam, Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Mac players can all join the same HypeServ server. There are two ways to connect:
Direct connect (most reliable):
- Open Palworld and choose Join Multiplayer (Dedicated Server) from the main menu.
- In the server list screen, enter your address as
IP:Port(orsubdomain:Port) in the field at the bottom. - Click Connect.
- If you set a server password, enter it when prompted.
Community server browser: Your server can also appear in the in‑game Community Servers list. This requires community settings to be enabled in the config — see Configuration & Access.
If everything is correct, you'll spawn into your world!
