HypeServ
Windrose

First Start

Order your Windrose server on HypeServ and get it running for the first time.

This guide walks you through the first launch of your Windrose server on HypeServ: from ordering the server to sailing with your crew.

If you already own a HypeServ server, this page shows you how to get it ready to join.

Order your Windrose server

If you haven't ordered your server yet, start here:

👉 Order a server

Choose Windrose as the game, then pick a plan based on your crew size — see the Sizing guide. You can upgrade later if you need more performance.

HypeServ deploys Windrose servers automatically. In most cases your server is ready within seconds after ordering.

Open the HypeServ panel

After ordering, you'll be redirected to your server dashboard. Inside the panel you'll see:

  • Your Windrose server
  • Server status (offline / starting / running)
  • Buttons to Start, Stop or Restart
  • Tabs for Console, Files, Backups, Ports, and more

Start the server

Click Start. The first start may take longer because the server downloads the latest Windrose server files and generates the world.

Open the Console tab to follow startup in real time. When the console shows the server is ready and no more errors appear, you can connect.

If startup fails, check the Troubleshooting page or contact HypeServ support.

Find your server address

In the HypeServ panel you'll see your server's IP and Port directly above the console. If you've set your free subdomain, you'll see that instead of the IP.

Join the server in Windrose

Windrose lets your crew connect in two ways:

  1. Direct IP — enter your server address as IP:Port (or subdomain:Port) in the game's server browser / direct‑connect field.
  2. Steam invite — invite crew members through Steam once you're in the session.

For a persistent, always‑online world, have everyone join the dedicated server directly rather than a host's session.
